Cranio-Sacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on technique used to assess and enhance the function of a physiological system known as the craniosacral system. This system consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that protect and surround the brain and spinal cord. Practitioners apply a light touch, typically no more than 5 grams (about the weight of a nickel), to release restrictions within the craniosacral system. This process has been found to improve the central nervous system's function and benefit other bodily systems, including the digestive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, and circulatory systems. By promoting the body's natural healing abilities, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure, helping to strengthen resistance to disease. It has also been recognized for its effectiveness in addressing a wide range of healthcare concerns and symptoms.
Massage therapy is a hands-on practice that involves manipulating the body's soft tissues—such as muscles, tendons, ligaments, and connective tissue—to promote relaxation, relieve pain, and enhance overall well-being. It can help reduce stress, improve circulation, alleviate muscle tension, and support the body's natural healing processes. There are various types of massage therapy, including Swedish massage (focused on relaxation and circulation), deep tissue massage (targeting deeper muscle layers to relieve chronic pain), sports massage (designed for athletes to prevent and recover from injuries), and trigger point therapy (addressing specific tight muscle areas). Massage therapy is commonly used for stress relief, pain management, injury recovery, and improving flexibility. It is often integrated into wellness and healthcare settings to complement other treatments for conditions like anxiety, headaches, fibromyalgia, and musculoskeletal disorders.
Saturday hours are focused on Chair Massage and events. Regular sessions are by appointment only.
